Books

Any book recommendations I should read? I'm about in the 1500-1600 USCF range maybe. Hard to tell since I don't play many tournaments. If there are books that are a bit above my range please tell me also I am willing to challenge myself :)
I'm currently reading..."Under the surface" by Jan Markos. It's a newer book and I'm finding it a fairly easy read, understandable, with some great info. I like books like this one, you don't always need a chessboard handy to read through it. Hope that helps a little bit, I think it's a pretty good book.
Classic books like
"My System" - Aaron Nimzovich
"Zürich 1953 The Chess Struggle in Practice" - David Bronstein
And of course any endgame book
Silman's Complete endgame course is a pretty good book on the endgame just read the sections upto your rating. If you really want to study the endgame in depth Dvoretsky's endgame manual would be good for you. Studying the endgame will help you a lot. And the Dvoretsky book requires a lot of patience to read. Other good endgame books:
Reuben Fine's Basic chess endings
Karsten Muller's Fundamental Chess endings
Good Luck!
Reassess your Chess and Amateurs Mind by Jeremy Silman are two of my favorites out of all the books I read. I prefer reading over learning online, I tend to retain the knowledge better with books.
