The 1-minute pool should make a comeback

I really think that the time is right for the 1-minute bulletpool to come back. Last time the pools were a great success, but interest slowly faded for other pools, except for the 1-minute pool.

Now lichess has more players than ever, so I belive that there would be many players, who would like to have this competitive feature back. I bet it would also be easy to implement back to the site.
The issue with pools is that they are kinda pointless without interest. We pretty much have this already with tournaments, and there's no point in having redundant features.
I agree with #4 that 3-min, 5-min and 5+5/960-pools were kind of pointless, since they were never used, but 1-minute pool had constant action and competition.

Pools had the best qualities of the bullet tournaments; the auto-pairing and the feeling of competition. I think working auto-pairing is one feature that lichess still lacks, and bullet-pool would be easy-to-implement, effective and awesome solution to this problem.

the 1 min pools hooked me in to thinking this was the #1 chess site out there so I migrated to lichess then out of the blue it was all gone?? well, was great while it lasted :(
Please bring back the pools, but it is a good thing to allow aborting, like it is at ICC.
And the time controles-1, 3, 5 and 10-minute (standard) pools, like ICC.
The pools died for a reason. I thought they were a bad idea from the start... all they really accomplished was to divide the playing pool. One player could have a seek up, another who might be a perfect match could be sitting waiting in the pool.
