Question ... regards to openings

When I view the analysis of my games on lichess. Why does it only list the name of my openings and not both mine and my opponents?
You create the opening together. E.g. you can only play a Sicilian if your opponent chooses to play 1.e4. So it's not 'my opening' or 'my opponent's opening', but rather 'our opening'. For example, I saw a game in which you played the Bird opening (1.f4) and your opponent responded to it by playing the From's gambit (1...e5). Therefore Lichess calls this 'A02 Bird Opening: From's Gambit'. If you had played 1.e4 and your opponent responded 1...e5, It would probably say something like 'C20 double king's pawn game', because 1...e5 is no longer a From's gambit if it is not played against 1.f4.
Does this answer your question?
Ahhh, yes! thank you. You explained it perfectly. I get it now..
Another way to see it is that it's *positions* that have names, and that generally a game it's the latest one in the game that matters.

E.g. 1.f4 e5 may be the From gambit, but if 2.e4 follows then that makes it a King's Gambit (usually reached by 1.e4 e5 2.f4, but that's the same position). You say the game has "transposed" to the King's Gambit.
