Playing better in tournaments than in regular ranked matches.

In my usual matches I lose against 900 players, but in an under 1500 tournament I recently joined in, I beat several 1400s, and I placed 2nd . I think its because of how i work under pressure. The game mode was bullet. Is this the same for other players? Why do you think this happens?

In my case it happens the contrary, I make a lot of blunders during my tournament games, blunders I would not do in a casual game haha, maybe the pressure plays a trick on me
