Interesting, the KotH engine says that I have a -10 disadvantage at the end, and sees no immediate win. Can anyone inform me on how black can force a 10pt (or likely more) material win? Or is it just that the engine overestimates kings near the centre of the board?

I ran the SF KotH locally after 12 Ne3 and it claims a mate in 7 in this way:
12 ... Nxf2 13.b4 Ke6 14.Bb2 Ng4 15.c4 Nxe3 16.Ke2 Nxc4 17. Rd1 Nxb2 18.Rxd8 Kxe5#

Oh...good combination. Nxf2 destructs the pawn that has the potential to defend e5.

instead of 12. Ne3 you have 2 alternative moves either f4 or Bf4 both are losing but still way better than what was played in the game. You are losing basically because you have lost the control of central squares especially e5. there is no way to protect e5 square after that Ne3 move..

I was aiming to create a blockage on e5 with either my pawns or my opponents' (with f2-f4 protection or replacement), but it can eliminate the f2 protector pawn so it won't work.

yes, I think koth version of stockfish has improved a bit in last one month. it predicts advantage more accurately now.
