Lichess Statement on the War in Ukraine

If you ever don't want to hear about something just say "stay out of politics." Then define "politics" as whatever you don't want to hear about. It works every time.

If anybody disagrees with me, allow me to respond. Whatever you just said? That's politics and I think we should leave politics out of it.

What I said? Not politics, totally fine. I can say it every day if I want.

And this is the problem. Be no mistaken, russians do support the war in their vast majority. And russians are not the victims. True victims are Ukrainian people. To me the position of Lichess is too European: "we are for everything good and against everything evil" but there are no real influence mechanisms.
