russia vs ukraine

read my comment again: russian goverment doing crimes against humanity. 3 ways to act: 1) do nothing - let them kill/supres/exile inocent people; 2) start 3rd world war (if it is not alredy started); 3) try to isolate russia from the west world and hope that lose money to maintain war or maybe their people, real people see their goverment crimes and starts revolution agaisnt Putin regime and become a real democracy and leaves inocent countries.

This morning every thread related to Ukraine was closed by "moderators", some of them were even completely deleted.

Israel is also comitting crimes against humanity in Palestine. But for some reason no one seems to care. Could it be - dare I say it? - because it's in the Middle East?

World is imperfect but i hope that people in general evolutionate and try to avoid violence. Also i am not familiar with that situation in israel and please try not to dilute this topic with colateral material. I am from post soviet country, my family suffer from soviet dictatory and later putin goverments, so i am afraid for Ukraine (who try to go to west, to real democracy) and later for baltic countries

Imagine if Lichess was around when your country was around. Imagine if a crazy western guy would ask Lichess to block you to protest against soviet dictatorship. Would that make your life better?

Russia goverment show a lot of propaganda, and ordinary people support war. This is a problem.

Read my previous comment again, i already mentioned my position: due to isolation we could achieve unconfortable life in russia and free russian people see their goverment crimes and starts revolution against Putin regime and become a real democracy and leaves inocent countries. Now russia has begun arresting anti-war protesters and so on so they have a part of society, a bright people and only critical mass are needed.

Not every Russian supports the war. In addition, by disconnecting them from Lichess, you achieve exactly nothing.

Totally dissimilar situation.

And you think 'no one seems to care'? lmao - I know you're more aware than that - it's one of the most hot button issues for the last 50 years.

Not so much. In both cases a way more powerful country is leading a war of agression on their smaller neighbour.

Well just compare the international reaction.
